Ocean Journey Field Trip – May 12
Ocean Journey is already one of land-locked Colorado’s
most popular attractions, logging over 1 million visitors since the grand
opening 10 months ago. It is home to 15,000 specimens, representing 300 species
of fish, birds, invertebrates, and mammals, all living amidst live plants and
appealing displays that hold nearly 1 million gallons of water.
How do they do it? It isn’t easy! Ocean Journey’s IT department is working on long-term growth plans and faces many challenges. Find out how they are dealing with these challenges and other issues such as:
· What technical infrastructure is needed to support this unique type of operation?
· What makes the desert thunderstorm?
· What’s happening on the web page?
It is important to RSVP for this trip because we will meet
at the Members Door, where your name will be pre-registered.
Please RSVP by close of business, Tuesday, May 9.
Registration is 10:40 – 10:55.
Take I-25 to the 23rd street exit.
Proceed East along Water Street. The
Parking lot is on your left, across from Ocean Journey.
