How does
international trade affect Colorado's economy?
How can you sell or buy technology services internationally?
Building a
business today is Global by intention or by default. The
Web, VoIP, and all the new technologies have made us all
neighbors and in some cases have brought our competition
into our own backyard. Businesses in other countries
face these same challenges and opportunities. There are
countries that are looking for partners in the United
States. Of course like us they would like to sell their
products to us. They are also looking for partners as
well as buy our products and services. That can be a
win/win that could take your company to a new level.
How is this
achieved? How do we avoid the traps and capitalize on
the opportunities…in fact, how do we learn about the
opportunities and possibilities? Like everything in
business, there is the slow and the wrong way. There is
also the right way and a faster way to make it all
happen. If you and your organization have an interest in

Eisler, Consul General in Denver,
Dale
Eisler (BA in Political Science at the University of
Saskatchewan, Regina Campus; MA in Political Science at Vermont
College, Union Institute & University).
Prior to joining the Canadian Federal Government, Mr. Eisler had
an extensive career in journalism, including daily newspapers,
weekly newsmagazines, syndicated opinion columns, radio and
television. He was also a sessional lecturer in journalism at
the University of Regina.
In addition, Mr. Eisler was involved, at an ownership level, in
private business for 13 years.
In 1998, he was appointed Assistant Deputy Minister for
Consultations and Communications with the Department of Finance
in the Government of Canada. In 2004, he was appointed Assistant
Secretary to Cabinet (Communications and Consultations) at the
Privy Council Office, which was the most senior communications
position in the Canadian Government.
In 2006, Mr. Eisler was the recipient of the Saskatchewan
Commemorative Medal in recognition of his contributions to the
province and society. He is the author of two books, most
recently False Expectations: Politics and the Pursuit of the
Saskatchewan Myth, published by the University of Regina in
2006. He was awarded the University of Regina’s distinguished
alumni award for professional achievement.
Dale Eisler and his wife Louise took up residence in Denver
early November 07. They have one daughter and one granddaughter.

Reichert
Colorado Director of International Trade in the Office of
Economic Development and International Trade
Pam became Director of International Trade in the Office of
Economic Development and International Trade in June of 2007. In
this position she oversees export and foreign investment
promotion for the State of Colorado. The International Trade
Office provides export counseling services to Colorado companies
to include market research, partnering, information on trade
regulations and licensing and the cultural components of working
internationally. The ITO also provides counseling services to
foreign companies interested in locating in Colorado. Pam brings
a combination of private banking and public foreign policy
experience to the position.
Prior to joining OEDIT, Pam was Vice President and Relationship
Manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at CoBank. In
this position she oversaw the correspondent banking
relationships and syndication participations for the above
mentioned regions. Pam worked for CoBank for 9 years and had
also served as the Senior Country Risk Officer for the Bank. Pam
worked for a time in New York for Salomon Smith Barney in the
Latin American Equity Research Group, primarily covering utility
companies in South America.
Her public sector experience includes seven years in foreign
policy analysis in Washington D.C. She also spent three years on
assignment with the US State Department as the Economic Officer
in Caracas, Venezuela.
Pam serves on the Board of the Denver Council on Foreign
Relations and chairs the Scholarship Committee of the DCFR. She
is a volunteer tutor for the Lincoln Park Scholars Program at
Greenlee Elementary School in Denver. Pam is married and has two
young children, Helen and August.

 Larry
Nelson is an entrepreneur who has owned companies on several
continents. His current enterprise is
w3w3 Internet Talk Radio, for
the Colorado information technology community.
Nelson is a co-author of
Colorful
Leadership, a book inspired by the 2007-2008 RMIMA
Technology Leadership Series.
