Website development used to be easy.  Build it and test it on various browser to make sure it works the same on each, then publish it.  Now, we have to worry about personal computers, tablets, and smart phones of many flavors.  Then we have apps and app stores at competing, incompatible companies that don't want to play well together.  Add to that, the problem of slow or inconsistent mobile connections.   Is there a way to build once and deploy everywhere?

Patrick Bailey will share his experience in searching for a way to do what needs to be done without the pain of competitive incompatibility.  He has moved to open source tools, such as HTML5 and JSON (Java Script Object Notation).  If you are a project manger, developer, corporate IT manager, or student of technology, you will not want to miss this one.  You may or may not take his approach, but it helps to know what the choices and tradeoffs are.

Patrick Bailey is recognized as Colorado's leading expert, advisor and speaker in the area of mobile technology.  His personal mission to turn Colorado into “the silicone valley of mobile software" has inspired partners, developers, investors and advocates within the IT leadership community to rally around his cause.

Patrick has 20+ year experience successfully developing highly scalable, integrated software systems for fortune 500 companies.  His hands on experience integrating legacy/enterprise systems with current and emerging technology has translated into to an enormous portfolio of technical acronyms on his resume.

As a contract programmer, Patrick made his mark developing the number one integration platform in the Cable/Satellite industry ( and leading the Netfile project making Colorado the 3rd state live with an online tax filing system (

Patrick’s reputation as a top coder eventually led to a series of technology executive roles ranging from IT Director to CTO including Mentis International Corp, WildBlue Communications and Frontier Airlines.  Despite his new responsibilities in the board room his passion for coding was too strong to abandon and he remains hands coding part time at Motocol in addition to his CEO responsibilities for the rapidly growing company.

Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado and received the COMAP Mathematical Contest in Modeling award of Meritorious.
