Kent Barton

Blockchain makes this is an incredibly exciting time to be alive. Before our eyes, weíre witnessing the evolution of a technology thatís simultaneously empowering, liberating, and disruptive. The decentralized blockchain is already beginning to shake the world; with each passing month, cryptocurrencies are gaining wider adoption as programmers and entrepreneurs create, innovate, and explore new possibilities. Get a jump on what is ahead for your currency thatís evolving along with itís platform. Bitcoin's blockchain will soon be supplemented by tools and protocols such as Open Transactions, Ethereum, and Mastercoin that enable smart contracts, digital assets, and the creation of any financial instrument imaginable Ė from stock to options to bonds and beyond.

Kent Barton is a Co-Founder of Glassbox - a third-party rating service for assets based on second-generation blockchain technologies. Mr. Barton began exploring the concept of crypto-asset risk management, which led to Glassbox, as detailed in the Bitcoin Magazine article link below. He has been involved with blockchain technology since 2012, and is the organizer of the Ethereum Denver Meetup.  In addition to recent work in strategic marketing and business planning, Mr. Barton has over a decade of experience researching, analyzing, and writing about the financial sector. His areas of expertise include technical and fundamental analysis, ETF's and equities, mutual funds, and portfolio management. He holds an M.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado, and produces cyberpunk music as seven7hwave.
